The Data Header is a piping component with several ports along or around its length that provide access to the flow stream for sampling, monitoring of pressure and temperature, sand/silt monitoring, and chemical injection.
It is usually mounted in the production flow path upstream and downstream of the surface choke manifold.
Features and Benefits:
- Ports with valves to monitor flowline pressure, inject chemicals, obtain samples, or monitor sand production.
- Ports with thermowells to monitor flowline temperature or to insert corrosion probes.
- Can be attached to the inlet of the surface choke manifold.
- Meets applicable industry standards (API 6A) and can be third party certified as required.
Operation
The data header is normally mounted in the production flow path upstream of the surface choke manifold. The data header is designed with lateral fittings providing access to monitor the flow as it leaves the wellhead.
