Our Environmentally Based Oil and Gas Water Treatment Services
Our services relate to the treatment of process water, often called produced water, which typically contains high TDS, TSS, COD, free oil, metals, and other contaminants. These contaminants can be very difficult to remove in accordance with environmental laws and client requirements.

Our unique Nutshell Media Package Plant will filter and enhance the quality of the water, removing up to 99% of suspended solids and oils (< 10 ppm oil, < 5 micron solids (TSS)).

    95 to 98% suspended solids removal and 90 to 95% insoluble oil removal efficiencies are achieved.

    The filtration units are skid-mounted for ease of installation and come complete with all the required components for automatic operation.

    Thorough cleaning of the bed.
  • Filter Media
    The black walnut shell media is chemically inert, hard, resilient, and preferentially water-wetted.
  • Throughput Efficiency
    Higher flow rates and short turnaround time are required in case of an upset condition.
  • No Auxiliary Backwash Equipment
    Process water is used for backwashing; therefore, separate clean water sources, storage facilities, or other ancillary equipment are not required.
  • Media Replacement
    Under normal operation, no regular media replacement is required.
  • Equipment Standards
    Corrosion-resistant components are incorporated as standard equipment on the filtration unit skid. Other materials are provided to meet duty requirements.
  • Range of Sizes
    Single unit capacities range from 3,600 bpd (24 m³/h) to 250,000 bpd (1,660 m³/h).

Our Pressurized Clarifier and Nutshell Filters Combination:

This combination offers well-proven, reliable technology that will provide produced water treatment to less than 1 ppm dispersed oil. The unit is the oil industry standard for filtration of produced water and has replaced and eliminated multimedia filters in this application due to its ability to handle large quantities of oil in water (OIW).

Most filter manufacturers have significant similarities and identical equipment applied in various groundwater remediation plants. The deep bed filter is the best available technology for treating oily wastewater.
